Annotation for the Siku Cunmu, edited by Professor Du Zexun, was published by Shanghai Classics Publishing House in October 2007 with more than 3 million words.
Professor Du Zexun wrote this book alone for more than ten years. The book can not only make up for the deficiencies in the Siku quanshu zongmu, but also check whether the summary is correct or not; different editions of the same work are sorted according to the publication order, and for the same systematic edition, efforts are made to explore the ancestral editions and list them in order. All editions with visual inspection or recorded materials are attached with the formats of the books in detail. In case of excellent or incomplete paper and ink engraving, it is necessary to give a reminder. In addition, the preface and postscript identification, the name of the publisher and engraver, and the seal of the collection are recorded, so as to provide readers with rich version source, original appearance and circulation information of the book.
The book is divided into eight volumes, with four indexes attached.
